The Tori no Machi Festival (New Kabuki Performance)

The Tori no Machi Festival (known also as the Tori no Ichi Fair) is a popular annual fair held on the day of the rooster in November at the Temple of Tori (Juzaisan Chokoku-ji) in Asakusa. The figure on the right holds a bamboo rake decorated with various goods, which people often carry as auspicous symbols during the festival.
