Family Sunday: Earthworks


It is Family Sunday! We are thrilled to welcome you back for another day of in-person activities and Storytime at the museum. If you’re not able to join us in-person today, check out this month’s virtual activities, to find lots of fun ways for families to spend time together. Family Sunday programming is designed for keiki of all ages to explore art and their own creativity.

This month’s Family Sunday theme is Earthworks. Museum admission is free for kama‘āina on December 19, 2021, from 10am–6pm.


Activities Around the Museum

ʻŌhiʻa Lehua Tree Seed Propagation Workshop

Palm Courtyard   |  11am - 1:30pm

Join us for a hands-on activity where participants will learn all about ʻōhiʻa lehua trees and their importance to native forests and culture with the ʻŌhiʻa Legacy Initiative. Each participant will also have the opportunity to learn how to grow these vitally important and iconic trees from seed, essentially creating a micro-forest that they can take home and mālama.
