About this Class:
Students use basic hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and slab to create fun projects such as animals, containers, and wall reliefs. Lum gives detailed step-by-step instruction for all projects during each class session. Glazing will be covered. Independent projects and experimentation are encouraged.
This class will visit the museum galleries to study the collection for inspiration.
Tools and clay: Tuition does not include tools or clay. Instructors will advise students on tools to purchase. Students must purchase all clay from the Art School. Limit of six bags (150 pounds) per semester.
Studio use: Students enrolled in a ceramics class may use the studio during posted Open Studio hours.
